Long lost words whisper slowly to me
Still can't find what keeps me here
When all this time I've been so hollow inside
I know you're still there
Spain sat on his bed in the dark, clutching his head. He couldn't stop the tears that fell from his eyes, just like he couldn't stop the pleas and cries of help that resounded in his head, over and over. He curled up tighter as a tiny sob forced it's way out.
"Oh God... How could I do that? How could I kill them like that..."
He remember the countless people he had killed and the number of villages he burned down. He remembered everyone whose lives he ripped away, men, women and children. Another cry sounded in his head, the scream of a helpless child, a 5-year-old girl.
Watching me, wanting me
I can feel you pull me down
Fearing you, loving you
I won't let you pull me down
His eyes widened as he remember the terrified look on her face and the heartbroken cries of her mother. He remembered what it felt like to thrust his blade through her small fragile chest. He screamed as he clutched his head tighter, giving himself a headache.
"No, make it stop, make it stop!"
Hunting you, I can smell you, alive
Your heart pounding in my head
He regretted so much. He regretted killing all those families, he regretted taking so many innocent lives. He wish he could change it all, but he knew wishes didn't exist. He got up and walked over to the window, watching the rain pour down. Without thinking, he walked down stairs and went outside. He stood in the rain, hoping it could wash the blood off his hands. But he knew it couldn't, since his hands were forever stained by the red liquid.
Watching me, wanting me
I can feel you pull me down
Saving me, raping me, watching me
He fell to his knees and stared up at the sky. He closed his eyes, blood flashing across his vision. He knew it was useless to try and forget. He knew these memories would forever haunt him. He knew he couldn't let these memories die, he couldn't let them go. He stayed in the rain for several hours, trying to wash away his sins.
Watching me, wanting me
I can feel you pull me down
Fearing you, loving you
I won't let you pull me down
He finally got up and walked back inside. He stood in the doorway, letting the water just drip off him. He sat by the door and cried.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry for the lives I ruined. I'm sorry that I can't take any of it back..."
